    The unit is very simple and neat. It just tests connectivity and I have already been able to trace poor connections on RJ45 and sort-out 2-wire from 4-wire RJ11 cables

    I use this to test my internet connection to ethernet plugs around the house. Lets me know if any problems using the house wiring instead of wifi for getting internet around the house. Plug it in at both ends and check the lights its as easy as that.

    I'd have liked a tester that could test bandwidth, but as those cost hundreds or thousands of pounds and this costs less than a tenner it was a must buy. I was flood wiring my house and it's my first time to terminate CAT6 cable for gigabit ethernet. I made several loose/faulty connections and this handy little tester helped me find them and correct them.
